The best-known forms are heating oil storage containers, tank storage facilities and electrical storage media (also called storage batteries). The fact that stationary fuel cells must provide storage capacities is clear to those who understand their function. Generally less well-known is the storage of natural gas in underground caverns, in other words voids in deeper ground layers.
