Technology and safety from a single source
The real estate service of TÜV NORD provides hospitals and clinics with a well-versed contact for widely varying requirements in the area of building technology and safety. Just a few examples of the services offered: technical assessments and certificates or recurring tests that comply with legal requirements (building regulations, Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), accident prevention regulations (and others) or requirements of property insurers
This applies, of course, particularly to the traditional service areas of TÜV NORD such as:
- Explosion protection
Systems in areas susceptible to explosions are often only inadequately secured. This
is especially true for pharmacies, laboratories and workshops in hospitals. We create
the TÜV NORD protection document as an exclusive service.
- Functional safety
Hazardous zones such as laboratories have to satisfy the functional safety requirements set forth in the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health. Do all protection systems still work reliably? Our specialists assess the "safety integrity level" in line with the specifications and standards.
- Tests of systems with respect to operational reliability and functional safety
such as, e.g.: Safety power supply systems, fire alarm systems, hazard warning systems, elevator systems, escalators, ventilation systems.
And, of course, other specific features unique to clinics that relate, for example, to HF cabins or the air-conditioning systems for the ventilation of operating areas.
We make energy more efficient
One of our newest building technology services is assessing the energy efficiency of properties. Following an analysis of a building's current energy status, potential savings are identified. Calculating energy efficiency based on need makes energy flows transparent and makes it possible to quickly test different variants and possibilities for optimization.
