TÜV NORD Group now together with RAG BILDUNG
Hannover/Essen: TÜV NORD Group and RAG BILDUNG, a company of RAG Aktiengesellschaft with headquarters in Essen, will enter into partnership on 1 July - and from then on, RAG BILDUNG will occupy an important position within TÜV NORD Group. This means that the company will expand and strengthen its position in the area of vocational training and will become one of the largest vocational training providers in Germany. The merger is an important milestone along the road to growth upon which TÜV NORD Group has successfully embarked.
"Vocational and professional training and qualification are certainly among the most important political and social challenges of our times. One thing is certain: Germany, as an industrial and business location, will be even more dependent on highly-qualified specialist staff in future than it has been up to now", says Holger Sievers, member of the TÜV NORD Group Board of Management responsible for the Training and Human Resources. "We provide our clients and their employees with future-proof competencies and skills to fulfil the requirements of tomorrow."
RAG Bildung employs 1,500 staff, with sales of around 110 million euro. Activities include pre-vocational and vocational training, further training and personnel services, and the company also operates a variety of vocational colleges. Initially it is intended to continue RAG Bildung with its own strong brand name under the umbrella of TÜV NORD Group.
In 2009, TÜV NORD Group achieved sales of just under 50 million euro in its Training and Human Resources Division. The new acquisition means even more opportunities to ensure that those working in industry and commerce are suitably qualified, including in the publicly-funded area - where RWTÜV Akademie and the TÜV NORD Training Centre have been engaged up to now. TÜV NORD Akademie offers highly-respected qualifications within the free economy.
