Quality fundamental to EUROPART Trading
Hanover: The 'EUROPART Systemzentrale Werkstattkonzepte’ section of EUROPART, leading European supplier of spare parts for trucks and buses, has been certified by TÜV NORD CERT for the first time according to DIN EN ISO 9001. This standard describes the overall quality management system of an organisation and forms the basis for competence and capability. Wolfgang Wielpütz, a member of the management team of TÜV NORD CERT, presented the certificate to Alexander Pederzani, CEO of EUROPART Trading GmbH, during the IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair in Hanover. In future, all EUROPART system workshops are also to be regularly audited by TÜV NORD, so that binding quality standards can be observed to the benefit of EUROPART customers.
In the pilot project, now concluded by issue of the certificate, 'EUROPART Systemzentrale Werkstattkonzepte’ and also partner workshops 'Wischmann Metall- und Fahrzeugbau’ and 'Truckservice Hallenberg’ were assessed and awarded the certificate by TÜV NORD CERT. The aim is that the 200 or so partner workshops should also be certified in future with regard to their quality management.
With over 1500 employees and around 170 retail outlets, EUROPART Trading GmbH is Number One when it comes to components and garage equipment for commercial vehicles. The company, based in Hagen-Haspe, has been serving vehicle workshops, forwarding agents and haulage companies having their own servicing facilities, public services with utility vehicle fleets and industrial companies for more than 60 years now.
EUROPART offers various different workshop concepts for utility and commercial vehicles. Within the framework of the quality initiative in the TruckSTATION workshop network, certification by TÜV NORD CERT has demonstrated achievement of a quality standard recognised by a neutral, independent and competent third party.
As Wolfgang Wielpütz, Member of the Management Board at TÜV NORD CERT explains: "Certification is also worthwhile for the partner workshops of EUROPART Trading. The DIN ISO 9001 standard offers a guide for better organisation of internal processes and improved overall performance for the customer. In addition, certification means that independent and smaller workshops operating under the system can continue to develop in a positive way. The precise overview of internal procedures and knowledge of their own strengths and weaknesses, in combination with a powerful overall workshop system, makes it easier for workshops to plan for the future and to act fast in times of crisis.
