TÜV NORD certifies the Federation of German Industry
Berlin: TÜV NORD has certified the quality management system of the top-level federation of industry and industry services in Germany - the Federation of German Industry (BDI). The Federation speaks on behalf of 38 industry associations in total, and is one of the first organisations of its type with a certified quality management system.
As the representative of the political interests of more than 100,000 companies with a good eight million employees, the BDI wishes to document its competence and performance capability along with sustainable quality assurance. “Through our clearly-structured quality management system, we can open up additional potentials in our organisation and design our processes to be even more rapid and more efficient”, explained BDI Director General Markus Kerber when receiving the certificate. “With this certification, the BDI is underlining its role at the forefront of professional and modern federation management” continued Kerber.
The certificate was presented by Guido Rettig, Chairman of the Management Board of TÜV NORD Group. “Transparent structures and optimum processes are created alongside the certified quality management system. Certification increases the efficiency of the entire organisation with the aim of representing the interests of German industry at home and abroad. All the sectors collected under the umbrella of the BDI benefit from this. We will continue to support the BDI in future in its activities – which are so essential for Germany as an industrial location.”
