CENELEC
The SEELAB Software and Electronics Laboratory at TÜV NORD is accredited by the Federal accreditation body Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) as a Type A Inspection Body according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004.
CENELEC is the European Committe for electrotechnical standardisation and the European centre responsbile fro the creation and publication of electrotechnical standards. The committee is comprised of representatives of the national electrotechnical committees and the national organisations they are entrusted with. The aim of CENELEC is to acheive Europe-wide harmonsiation of standards and removal of obstacles to trade and licensing. With the introduction of Europe-wide standards, national standards will, in the long term, be replaced.
