Please be informed that you may obtain certification according to the new IFS Broker version from 2 January 2020. From 1 July 2020 only certification according to version 3 is possible. The most important changes from version 2 to version 3 are the following:

• Implementation of a product safety culture in the company
• More detailed requirements for the risk assessment process
• Definition of requirements for combating food fraud
• Adjustment of the audit protocol to other IFS standards
• Introduction of new glossary definitions (e.g. food fraud)
• Mandatory inclusion of the QR code in the IFS certificate to facilitate tracking of authenticity
• Extension of supplier management to include service providers
• More specific definition of the requirements for packaging
• Realisation of an unannounced audit
