Ontex

TÜV NORD CERT was able to win a major contract with the Belgian company Ontex. The leading manufacturer of feminine hygiene and incontinence products operates at over 25 locations worldwide. The certification includes management systems, medical devices and personal care standards. Within the meaning of BOLD MOVE, the acquisition was carried out in cooperation between the units International Business Development, Food Consumer Care and the PC International Sales.

Deutsche Telekom

TÜV NORD CERT concluded a major order with Deutsche Telekom: Europe's largest telecommunications company was certified with "TÜV Service Check: Best mobile network quality according to QvK standard". The basis for the certification are network tests, which are carried out by independent testers for telekom. Their focus are quality features that can actually be perceived by customers, such as the real data speed, the voice quality or connection stability. The neutrality of the test data collection and processing was verified, so that on the basis of the data for the first three quarters of 2017, the "best network quality" could be confirmed. The project was initiated by the Sales Department from Cluster Central Europe South in collaboration with the Innovation Management from Cluster Business Development.

Vietinbank

TÜV NORD Vietnam won the second largest bank in Vietnam as new customer. Mr. Le Sy Trung and his team in Vietnam have bagged the contract for an ISO 9001 certification for the Vietinbank with 155 branches. The contract value is around 250,000 Euro spread across a three year cycle. Last year the largest bank BIDV already placed an order with TÜV NORD Vietnam.

TÜV NORD Indonesia wins contract with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

TÜV NORD Indonesia has succeeded in winning a major contract with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The team of Mr. Robert is participating in the first step on the preparation of the GHG emission profile in the country. The power sector and eight energy intensive industry sectors will be analyzed to develop a comprehensive emission profile and emission reduction potentials. The 15 experts will evaluate in detail the emissions from energy, IPPU (Industrial Process and Product Use) and Waste to develop a MACC (marginal abatement cost curve). The project started in October 2017 and shall be finalized in May 2018, when the MRV scheme for GHG emission inventory and market based instruments will be developed until 2020. TÜV NORD Indonesia received the contract in a consortium with AMC (Asian Management Consulting) and government partners.

Eaton Towers

TÜV Middle East won a great contract with Eaton Towers: An IMS-Certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14064 for the Locations in Dubai, Ghana, Uganda, South Africa and Kenya. The Contract Value is about more than 100,000 Euro. Eaton Towers is a leading African tower company. Together with Orange, Vodafone and Celtel, Eaton Towers is one of the most successful telecom operators in Africa, offering tower sharing on more than 5,000 towers in Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa and three other countries. 

Certification of Goznak AG

The team of the department "International Projects Environment & Climate" from Germany was able to acquire Goznak AG as a customer for the certification of an EnMS according to ISO 50001. Goznak AG is a nationwide state-owned enterprise in Russia, which produces banknotes, identity cards, coins, etc. We are very pleased that a state-owned company has chosen TÜV NORD and our local employees for an energy audit. It is a good sign for the development of this service in Russia, where the topics energy efficiency and emissions trading are becoming very important today. The certification was done in cooperation with the local partner in Russia "LLC International ltd".

RAPS Convergence

In September TUV USA attended the RAPS Convergence in Washington, DC. Ralf Thomsen presented an MDSAP Certificate to Brian Davis of Hologic, Inc. TUV USA's Medical Division Director, Bradley Chen, and other members of TUV USA were happy to meet with over 250 of the convergence's attendees. They discovered what TUV USA has to offer for certifications to the medical devices community and picked up some fun TUV USA items including the infamous light up fidget spinner.
