International Approvals & FCC CAB

Worldwide market access through international approvals

To be allowed to sell an electrical or electronic product, a corresponding national approval must usually be applied for. This varies from country to country and is also subject to constant changes. This applies, for example, to the respective device labelling. However, the validity of approval certificates is also time-limited in many countries.

TÜV NORD supports manufacturers already during product development in the preparation of a target-oriented approval process. Many years of experience and extensive expertise, a worldwide network of consultants and experts, good contacts with national authorities and international testing laboratories guarantee a smooth process and save you time and money when launching your products on the market.

FCC CAB (USA) & ISED (Canada)

TÜV NORD is recognized by the Federal Network Agency as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) sector under the registration number BNetzA-CAB-13/21-08/3 and the CAB identifier (D 0013) for Canada. Recognition as a CAB with regard to electromagnetic compatibility under the agreement between the European Community and the United States of America and Canada is also a prerequisite for carrying out all relevant regulatory tests, as well as the recognition of test reports by the FCC/ISED. Together with our certification partners (TCBs and FCBs) from around the world, we then enable efficient approval and thus market access for telecommunications equipment and systems in both the American and Canadian markets.

CAB – Conformity Assessment Body

TCB – Telecommunication Certification Body

FCB – Foreign Certification Body
