When planning wind turbines, they are sometimes located in close proximity to overhead lines. We provide evidence that the horizontal minimum distance required by DIN EN 50341-2-4 (VDE 0210-2-4) is maintained. Furthermore, we examine whether the overhead lines are outside the damage-relevant area of the wake flow of the wind turbines, allowing for the omission of vibration-damping measures on the overhead line conductors.
