ASME calculation by TÜV NORD

Secure your access to global markets with a compliant calculation according to ASME.

Our aim is not only to provide you with a reliable and compliant calculation basis, but also to pave the way for efficient and economical project management. On this page you will find all the information you need about our calculation services, including the software we use to calculate pressure vessels. Discover how our customised calculations and the associated certificates not only simplify your path to ASME certification, but also secure it.

Our services in the field of ASME calculation

ASME calculations include the detailed analysis and design of pressurised components in accordance with the strict guidelines of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. These calculations are essential to ensure that your designs can function safely, reliably and efficiently under the intended operating conditions. In addition to the calculation itself, we support you in all phases of ASME certification, from the request for application documents to final acceptance.

Our goal is to provide you with a solid foundation on which you can move forward with your projects with confidence, knowing that all aspects of your design meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Regulations for which we support and advise you

We carry out calculations or preliminary checks and provide you with efficient support for the application of the following international regulations:

We carry out calculations or preliminary checks and provide you with efficient support for the application of the following international regulations:

  • AD 2000
  • ASME Code Section I
  • ASME Code Section III
  • ASME Code Section IV
  • ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1
  • ASME Code Section VIII, Division 2
  • ASME B31.1
  • ASME B31.3
  • Australian Standard (AS 1210)
  • British Standard (PD 5500)
  • Canadian Standard - CSA B51
  • EJMA
  • EN 13445
  • Indian Boiler Regulations
  • TEMA

Based on technical drawings and parts lists, we use modern calculation software to create the design calculation required [by ASME]. If calculations are already available, we will carry out a preliminary check of the data as part of the design review and issue a corresponding certificate. This design review guarantees that you will be able to present "reliable" calculations for subsequent ASME certification.

Our calculation programmes are regularly checked by us and verified for compliance with the latest editions of the regulations. We certify this separately for each calculation.

We use these calculation programmes to ensure the correct design

Do you need to decide on a programme for calculating pressurised components in accordance with the ASME Code? Do you need to design your tanks according to British Standard, Australian Standard, AD 2000 or other international codes? Or do you need software for earthquake and wind calculations according to UBC, IBC and external nozzle loads?

We use various globally recognised pressure vessel calculation software to ensure that your products meet the required specifications, including seismic and wind load requirements.

Compress (Codeware): Calculation programme for vessels according to ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 and 2, UHX and TEMA, earthquake and wind loads according to IBC, UBC and other standards.

PV Elite: Calculation programme for tanks according to ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 and 2 including UHX, EN13445, PD5500 (British Code), TEMA, earthquake and wind loads according to various standards, piping according to B31.3, WRC, saddle and base calculations.
