Car dealership and workshop
Discover our specialised calibration services for emissions testing equipment at TÜV NORD, which help your workshop to carry out precise and legally compliant emissions tests.

We are accredited for the calibration of all common exhaust emission testers (four-gas testers and opacimeters) for petrol and diesel fuel.
We currently offer DAkkS calibrations for all common exhaust gas testers of these brands:
We also offer DAkkS calibration for particle number analysers for the following manufacturers:
We are constantly expanding our range. So if you have an AU tester from another manufacturer, please contact us.
In addition to calibration, we are also happy to offer you other services for monitoring your emissions testing equipment (e.g. maintenance, adjustment, etc.).
When placing your order, let us know what needs to be done and we will take care of everything.

In order to carry out the exhaust emissions test as part of the HU, the AU devices used must be calibrated in accordance with DAkkS (in accordance with Traffic Bulletin 11-2021 No. 133).
For vehicles that are tested in accordance with the Euro 5+ emissions standard, emissions testing devices with an error limit of 0.1 or accuracy class 0 or 00 are prescribed.
For vehicles according to the Euro 4 emissions standard or older, AU devices with an error limit of 0.3 or accuracy class 1 are also permitted.
Since 2023, only particle measuring devices have been permitted for emissions tests on diesel vehicles of the Euro 6 emissions standard or newer.
The regular DAkkS calibration must be repeated at least every 12 months (in accordance with Traffic Bulletin 11-2018 No. 100) and on a monthly basis.
In addition, recalibration must be carried out after every intervention in the measured value recording (e.g. during adjustment as part of annual maintenance).
It is therefore advisable to combine annual maintenance and calibration.
In accordance with the third ordinance amending the Measurement and Verification Ordinance, emissions testing devices used for the official emissions testing of motor vehicles no longer require verification.
All AU devices used as part of the periodic technical inspection (HU/AU) must have a valid DAkkS-compliant calibration certificate at the time of the inspection.
Non-calibrated AU devices are therefore no longer permitted for the HU/AU.
Since 2023, particle number measurement has been mandatory for emissions tests on diesel vehicles of the Euro 6 emissions standard or newer.
Opacimeters will continue to be used for older diesel vehicles.
The new version of the "AU device calibration guideline" from 2021 also regulates the calibration of particle counters. Like other AU devices, these must be calibrated before initial commissioning and then regularly (every 12 months).
You can find our prices in our price list and in our order form.
A distinction is made between AU devices for petrol fuel, AU devices for diesel fuel and combination devices (petrol & diesel).
