You can also expect a statement on the damage pattern from us: Does the damage ascertained match the stated cause of the damage or the course of the damage described? We provide an expert opinion on this in the damage report.
Damage description:
The TÜV NORD damage assessors document the damage using pictures. Photos are taken of the entire vehicle - e.g. from the front left and rear right, but also of the damaged areas and parts.
Determination of the accident damage and repair cost calculation
The damaged parts are listed in the TÜV NORD damage report. We differentiate between parts to be replaced and parts to be repaired. On request, we can also carry out a repair cost calculation that shows individual items such as
This calculation is based on time specifications and hourly rates.
Information on previous and old damage:
This is also the expertise in expert reports that TÜV NORD provides you with: our experts have a trained eye and can recognise previous damage, as this has a considerable influence on the replacement value, residual value and depreciation. Preliminary damage is recorded photographically and attached to the appraisal.
Replacement value:
The replacement value is also quantified by TÜV NORD. We use the available calculation programmes as well as offers from the vehicle trade in order to make a statement in line with the market.nIf no replacement value needs to be determined because the value is not required for the settlement, we can also dispense with it.
Determination of residual value:
If the repair costs reach around 60% of the replacement value, we will determine the residual value. The residual value is based on the realisable market value of the vehicle, naturally in its damaged condition.
