Whenever an imported vehicle is to be registered in Germany that was originally intended for a third market (i.e. USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, Arab Emirates, etc.), you will usually be asked for a data sheet during the necessary assessment for the issue of an individual licence.
For registration in Germany, you must not only determine all the vehicle data that must be included in the vehicle documents, but also provide a large number of certificates in accordance with German / European law.
For example, proof of exhaust emission behaviour ("exhaust emission report"), noise behaviour, braking behaviour, suitability of the headlights ("light report") and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
This data often cannot be determined by the expert on site - this is where our data sheets for imported vehicles come into play, which are created individually for your vehicle based on the chassis number.

With our online data sheet service, you can easily and conveniently enquire about the availability of data for your vehicle, regardless of whether it is a car, classic car, motorbike, pick-up or truck. There are no costs for this first enquiry!
Please have the following documents ready:
With the information on availability, you will also receive information on the cost of the data sheet for your car. You are welcome to send the information directly by e-mail to datenanfrage@tuev-nord.de directly. If you have any queries, please leave your telephone number.

To register your vehicle with the corresponding data sheet, you need an individual assessment in accordance with §21 StVZO. Are you aiming for the coveted H licence plate? Then you also need a classic car inspection in accordance with §23 StVZO. Our specialists at the local TÜV NORD centres will be happy to assist you. You want to sell a vehicle abroad or register it abroad. How can you be sure that your car will be registered in the exporting country? Exporting countries often require an expert report that contains all the technical information about a vehicle and is written in the national language of the exporting country.
We prepare multilingual export reports for you so that you can register the vehicles in the respective export countries without any problems. All we need is a legible copy of the vehicle registration document or licence.
We will be happy to send you the report in advance by e-mail. You will then receive the original together with the invoice by post.
The cost of an expert opinion depends on the type of vehicle. We have to determine the applicable EC, ECE regulations or national regulations on a case-by-case basis.
