FTA - Fault Tree Analysis

A sufficiently low probability of failure is one of the most important characteristics of any safety-related product, system or subsystem. Fault tree analysis is a structured procedure in which systems or subsystems are logically subdivided for defined failure cases and the components that can cause faults are analysed. It is based on a graphical representation with logical symbols that are used to visualise logical links (e.g. OR gate or AND gate) or events.

Our services

We use the methodology to search for groups of events that could cause the occurrence of a dangerous state (top event). Using the failure probabilities of subsystems and components calculated from the FMEDA, the fault trees we create are numerically analysed and evaluated. For this purpose, the results obtained from the FMEDA are transferred to the FTA.

Benefit from our experience, with which we help you to identify potential failures in your system at an early stage of development. We are happy to be your partner in developing design alternatives from the results obtained.
