Emission/immission forecasts gases/dust

Forecasts of emissions and immissions for gases and dust are vital for environmental protection. They aid in evaluating the impact of pollutants on air quality and health. Through precise modeling and analysis, effective strategies can be developed to reduce emissions and ensure compliance with legal standards.

We create emission forecasts

As part of urban land-use planning, authorities as well as planners and developers are required to consider environmental pollution and the resulting planning restrictions. Odours or air pollutants from livestock facilities or industrial operations, for example, often represent an important limit to planning options.

We also provide support in the planning of facilities (new planning, modification of existing technology, increase in capacity). We forecast pollutant emissions, assess them on the basis of the specifications and draw up technical requirements. Our assessment is based on the state of the art.

Our services

  • Based on our experience from measurements on various types of plant, we can estimate the emissions for numerous types of plant.
  • If necessary, emission estimates can be verified using accredited measurement procedures and determined if necessary.
  • We can estimate potential emissions using combustion calculations.
  • We offer to check and assess the plausibility of measurement results provided to us.
  • We offer support in the creation of measurement concepts for air pollutants and in the creation of emission inventories.
  • Immission forecasts are prepared using dispersion calculations in accordance with TA Luft, Annex 2 and VDI 3783 Sheet 13.
  • The dispersion models (AUSTAL, LASAT, MISKAM) adapted to the respective tasks are used.
  • Buildings and terrain can be modelled.
  • The drift of droplets in the calculation of depositions is taken into account. The influence of cold air or special local wind situations is taken into account.
  • The influence of mitigation measures can be modelled in advance.
  • Ammonia, nitrogen and acid deposition, dust precipitation and bioaerosols as well as other emissions of air pollutants can be calculated and assessed in accordance with Annex 8 and 9 TA Luft.
  • Impacts from road traffic / car parks / multi-storey car parks can be calculated.
