Odor forecasts are essential for urban land-use planning and approval processes, as they calculate the frequency of odor perceptions in the vicinity of a facility. By utilizing odor-relevant data and weather information, they assess potential nuisances in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act.
Odour forecasts are prepared in accordance with the specifications of TA Luft and VDI 3783 Sheet 13. An assessment in accordance with TA Luft, Annex 7 is carried out for each area and, if necessary, in individual cases with regard to hedonics and intensity.
The dispersion models adapted to the respective tasks are used. We carry out calculations with the following models.
Buildings and structured terrain can be modelled. The influence of cold air or special local wind situations is taken into account.
The influence of mitigation measures can be modelled in advance.
