In order to ensure quality in the facilities of Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), the AWO Bundesverband has combined the requirements of the accredited DIN EN ISO 9001 with the quality requirements of AWO and developed the AWO tandem concept.
The non-accredited AWO quality requirements/criteria are derived, among other things, from the mission statement of the Workers' Welfare Association and the professional criteria of the respective areas. The AWO Bundesverband e.V. has concluded a framework agreement with TÜV NORD CERT GmbH for certification in accordance with AWO Tandem.
The target group for the AWO tandem concept includes organisations of the Workers' Welfare Association that want to ensure their quality through the combination of DIN EN ISO 9001 and specific AWO quality requirements. This certification is aimed at organisations within the AWO that want to optimise and verify their services in accordance with the mission statement and the professional criteria of the respective areas.
Certification is a confidence-building measure for customers, business partners and other persons/organisations/stakeholders etc. involved.
The basis is a certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001 with a time supplement, the AWO quality requirements/criteria are also checked.
There are different AWO quality requirements/criteria for the various social organisations, e.g. daycare centres, care for the elderly and integration assistance, etc. The AWO quality requirements/criteria are published by the AWO Bundesverband e.V. and are constantly being further developed. They can be downloaded from the homepage of the AWO Bundesverband.
