Our TSI.PROFESSIONAL training teaches you the basics of planning, building and operating data centres, taking into account aspects of physical security, availability and energy efficiency. As part of the training, you will gain an in-depth insight into our successful Trusted Site Infrastructure (TSI) methodology for the evaluation and certification of data centres of all types: Enterprise DCs, Colocation DCs, Cloud DCs.
TSI is an established and proven procedure for testing and certifying supply-critical infrastructures in data centres that has been in place since 2002. The basis for this is the TSI.STANDARD criteria catalogue. This is based on the recommended measures in the IT baseline protection catalogues of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and takes into account the relevant EN and DIN standards - in particular DIN EN 50600 - as well as VDE regulations and VdS publications. Since the latest version (V4.5), the published parts of the ISO/IEC 22237 standards are also covered. The TSI.STANDARD has been continuously developed since then, with the aim of always reflecting the state of the art and standardisation. It also takes into account the findings from the everyday practice of over 1,800 projects in the sense of "best practices".
In the course of our TSI.PROFESSIONAL training, you will gain a deeper insight into the currently available TSI criteria catalogues and the associated requirements and processes. The structure, application and differences are explained. You will have the opportunity to ask your individual questions at any time.
Knowledge of data centres and prior knowledge of the TSI testing and certification programme, either through self-study or by accompanying certification projects, is recommended, but is not a mandatory requirement.

TÜV NORD awards a TSI.PROFESSIONAL status if the client or training participant fulfils the following requirements:
The training provides you with practical specialist knowledge that you can apply directly to the planning, operation or evaluation of data centres.
Yes - especially companies that operate their own data centre infrastructures or work as service providers benefit from in-depth knowledge of current standards, systems and evaluation criteria.
In addition to open training courses, we also offer customised training courses - tailored directly to your projects and framework conditions.
Previous technical knowledge is helpful, but not a prerequisite. The training is aimed at both technical experts and people from companies who are involved in planning, security or compliance.
We offer supplementary 1-day modules (TSI.INTENSIVE training) on the topics of [ACV] (refrigeration supply), [POW] (power supply), [EN/ISO] (EN 50600 & ISO/IEC 22237) and [SEC/FIR] (safety systems and organisations/fire detection and extinguishing technology). These modules are intended to deepen and supplement the basic training, but can also be taken individually.
The intensive modules include an in-depth treatment of the individual criteria/requirements, supply concepts depending on the level and availability class for implementation in practice.
