MAAS-BGW

The target group for MAAS-BGW includes companies in the health and social services sector, in particular managers and occupational health and safety officers who are responsible for implementing occupational health and safety measures. The certification is also aimed at member companies of the BGW who wish to benefit from specific advantages and bonuses.

Certification by TÜV NORD CERT, which is carried out exclusively by experienced auditors with extensive industry expertise, includes the following points:

• Information meeting
• Evaluation of the QM manual taking into account the DIN EN ISO 9001 series of standards and the MAAS-BGW criteria catalogue and authorisation (pre-audit)
• Certification audit
• Approval of the certification procedure by the certification body

Regular audits follow once the certificate has been issued. There is also an annual quality report and an annual audit. The certificate is valid for three years. The BGW supports certification with a cost contribution of up to 50 per cent for BGW member companies.

The changeover will result in some changes:

• The current certificates with the DAkkS logo will be withdrawn on 1 July 2025. The certificates will be replaced by BGW's own certificates and will retain their current validity period. Our existing customers have already been informed of this.
• For each initial certification and recertification, the BGW carries out a document evaluation and prepares a report on the results, which is made available to TÜV NORD CERT and the company.
• The MAAS-BGW auditors prepare an integrated 9001 and MAAS-BGW report and make a recommendation to the BGW regarding the issue or maintenance of the MAAS-BGW certificate. On the basis of the audit report, the BGW makes the decision to issue or maintain the certificate and authorises TÜV NORD CERT to issue the certificate to the company.

What remains:

• The calculation rules do not change.
• The audit procedure for surveillance audits does not change.
