
The target group for MAAS-BGW includes companies in the health and social services sector, in particular managers and occupational health and safety officers who are responsible for implementing occupational health and safety measures. The certification is also aimed at member companies of the BGW who wish to benefit from specific advantages and bonuses.
Certification by TÜV NORD CERT, which is carried out exclusively by experienced auditors with extensive industry expertise, includes the following points:
Regular audits follow once the certificate has been issued. There is also an annual quality report and an annual audit. The certificate is valid for three years. The BGW supports certification with a cost contribution of up to 50 per cent for BGW member companies.
From 1 July 2025, the standard setter BGW (Berufsgenossenschaft für Gesundheitsdienst und Wohlfahrtspflege) will no longer offer the MAAS BGW (Management Requirements of the BGW for Occupational Health and Safety for DIN EN ISO 9001:2015) under DAkkS accreditation.
