TÜV NORD offers comprehensive services for new drivers and those returning to driving.
Overview of all services
Driving licences, fitness to drive and vehicle inspections are subject to clear legal requirements and set procedures. Whether you are applying for a driving licence, need to prove your fitness to drive following an incident on the road, or are having your vehicle inspected – every situation requires the right steps and reliable decisions.
We support you in precisely these situations: from conducting driving tests, through assessing your fitness to drive via the medical-psychological assessment (MPU), right through to legally required vehicle inspections such as the annual general inspection.
In this way, we provide guidance throughout the process and give you a solid foundation for your next steps on the road.
On this page, you will find information on the following topics:

The MPU assesses whether you are once again fit to drive safely on the roads. It consists of several components, including a medical examination, performance tests and an interview with traffic psychologists.

The date for the annual roadworthiness test (HU) is set by law and can easily be found on the TÜV sticker on your number plate or in your vehicle documents. The number in the middle indicates the year, and the number above it indicates the month of the next test.
