Personnel certification ISO 26262

New technologies and extended functionalities in the vehicle mean that more and more safety-relevant electronic systems have to be developed in the automotive industry. Not only is the number of electronic components and systems increasing, but also their complexity and safety requirements. The safety standard ISO 26262 requires companies to ensure that the people familiar with functional safety have a sufficient level of expertise and qualification. Since the publication of ISO 26262, there has been an urgent demand on the labour market for appropriately trained personnel who can demonstrate their competence and professionalism through relevant qualifications.

To this end, we have developed a 3-stage personnel certification programme.

Level 1 = FSCAE (Functional Safety Certified Automotive Engineer)
This provides evidence of the fundamentals, concepts and objectives of functional safety management.
Level 2 = FSCAC (Functional Safety Certified Automotive Coordinator /Consultant)
This provides evidence of the competence to plan, conduct and document assessments based on ISO 26262
Level 3 = FSCAM (Functional Safety Certified Automotive Manager) This provides evidence of the competence to be deployed as a process owner of functional safety management and to plan activities within projects
