ISO 29993 - Process certification of learning services

The ISO 29993 certification service is used internally to ensure an internationally recognised quality standard. The standard can optimise internal school processes and thus increase the efficiency of the entire service. It offers support in the planning, implementation and evaluation of existing and new programmes, thereby establishing a uniform standard.

Externally, the standard communicates a neutral, renowned proof of quality in the competitive environment. This promise of quality is not only aimed at potential customers, but also convinces partner companies and the entire competitive environment.

The companies thus receive proof that the training services are planned, implemented and evaluated according to defined criteria and can use the test seal mark in their course information and certificates of attendance, for example.

FAQ on ISO 29993

The certification is a useful addition to ISO 21001/ DIN EN ISO 9001 as a system certification and to personal certification. It represents the link between these two options. A customer would thus have the opportunity to obtain proof of the effectiveness of their management system - through ISO 21001/DIN EN ISO 9001 - as well as proof that the specific process of the training service complies with the ISO 29993 standard.
In addition, they could emphasise one or more training courses through personal certification.

To issue the certificate, auditors from TÜV NORD CERT GmbH check the relevant requirements of ISO 29993.

Requirements for:

Climate change – additions to management system standards

In a joint declaration in February 2024, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) explained the additions to various management system standards. The statement emphasises the importance of taking climate change into account in the various management systems.

Sections 4.1 and 4.2 of the respective standard are affected. The additions are intended to ensure that climate change issues are considered by the organisations in addition to all other aspects in connection with the effectiveness of the management systems.
