The German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) stipulates regular inspections of escalators and moving walks. Operators must determine the scope of these inspections and how often they should be carried out as part of a risk assessment. In addition, the BetrSichV requires inspections prior to initial commissioning and after significant modifications.

Falling cranes or falling loads pose a great danger to human life. For this reason, the Industrial Safety Regulation §14 Para. 4 Annex 3 Section 1 "Cranes" and DGUV Regulation 52 require regular inspections for every type of crane. Depending on the type of inspection, these must be carried out by inspection experts, authorised crane experts or experts (qualified persons).

The German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) and the regulations of the employers' liability insurance association also stipulate that hoists and conveyor systems must be inspected before initial commissioning and after significant modifications, as well as periodic inspections. The scope and deadlines for periodic inspections must be determined by the operator as part of a risk assessment. Winches, lifting and pulling devices play a key role in the transport of loads in many companies. In order to prevent hazards such as those resulting from falling loads or structural failure, the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and DGUV Regulation 54 stipulate inspections prior to initial commissioning, periodic inspections and extraordinary inspections.
Are you looking for support with the inspection of lifting platforms, aerial work platforms, loading bridges or tail lifts? According to BetrSichV §14 and DGUV regulation 100-500 point 2.10, an inspection is mandatory before initial commissioning, after significant changes and recurrently, at least once a year.
In addition to the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV), the Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR) 1.6 "Windows" and 1.7 "Doors and gates" are decisive for the testing of power-operated windows, doors and gates.
Inspections must be carried out before initial commissioning, after significant changes and on a recurring basis. Periodic inspections should be carried out at least once a year.
Cranes must be inspected by experts as required, but at least once a year, in accordance with the German Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health §14 Para. 4 Annex 3 Section 1 "Cranes" and § 26 Para. 1 of DGUV Regulation 52 "Cranes". The operating conditions and operational circumstances are decisive for the exact inspection intervals.
In accordance with DGUV Rule 109-917, slings and load handling attachments must be inspected by a competent person before commissioning and after damage or potentially damaging events. In addition, a periodic inspection must be carried out at least once a year.
