EMC testing in the automotive area
Here, TÜV NORD CERT offers manufacturers and importers a quality service portfolio supported by extensive and long-standing competence. TÜV NORD CERT can perform appropriate testing to serve as the basis for CE marking of the respective device or to facilitate "Electrical Safety" certification. For this, the device itself must be submitted along with its operating manual, circuit diagrams, material data and – depending on the product – other relevant documents.
Fulfilment of legal regulations and sign of quality
For products which are to be registered at the Federal Motor Transport Authority within the framework of a type approval procedure (E1-mark), the EMC test is a part of the approval procedure that has to be undertaken by the manufacturer. Even in the case of non safety-relevant products, which can be placed on the market without type approval, the "e" E1-mark is a sign of quality and enhances acceptance of the product.
